The Department of Statistical Sciences supports the university's commitment, as outlined in the Sustainability Commitment Charter, to promote responsible resource management in terms of environmental and economic impact, reducing waste and consumption, and encouraging the adoption of best practices by staff and the student community.

The actions undertaken by the Department in support of Sustainability are part of the activities of the Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability Commission (EIS Commission). The delegate for Sustainability actions is Dr. Marina Bertolini.

The Department engages in promotional and dissemination activities on the topic of Sustainability towards the public and institutions, through various events and initiatives:
