For Guests
The presence of researchers from other organisations is an opportunity for enrichment, and the Department is happy to welcome both Italian and foreign guests who are interested in carrying out research activities in collaboration with our professors.
Moreover, a number of professors, especially from foreign Universities, are frequently invited to hold seminars at the PhD School in Statistics.
While they are here, the guests can use the department’s resources, and, if available, can have a study and a place to use a PC.
Guests at the Department can have access to the local network and Internet with their own laptop:
via the LAN network, as long as there is an up-to-date antivirus system installed. On arrival at the Department they will be asked to provide the MAC address of their network adapter. Alternatively, they can send this information in advance via e-mail to their person of contact in the Department.
via the wireless network. The guest should ask the person of contact in the Department to be included in the list of people allowed to be connected by wireless, and then follow the instructions outlined here.
