Internships and job placement

Incoming students wishing to do an internship, whether within or not a mobility programme, can apply for an internship in a Department, Laboratory, Library or other division of the University of Padova under the supervision of a Professor. Please, note that all international internship applications at the University of Padova are managed centrally by the Career Service office.

If you want to apply, please send an email to (or to our local Internship office) with your CV, your Transcript of Records and a Letter of Motivation containing the activities, the fields of research or a description of the project that you would like to develop during your stay at our University.  Your request will be forwarded to the departments that can be interested in your profile and you will be contacted back as soon as there is a reply.  In case, feel free to mention the Department and/or persons you would like to work with. Applications need to be sent in at least one to one and a half months in advance.

Please, notice that an internship at the University of Padova does not imply any enrolment as the University will play the role of the host organization and you will play the role of an intern, not of a student.  As a result, you will not be allowed to take exams in Padova.  And, more importantly, you will be required to take out insurances for health & professional/personal accident and for third party liability upon your arrival in Padova.  To this regard, consider that interns at the University of Padova are not eligible to receive any type of reimbursement and/or pay unless specifically agreed to by the Department where you will complete your internship.

Should your interest persist, consider to apply for our Doctoral programme in Statistics upon completion of your degree.
